Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 12, 2026
At Salary Sasa, we believe your financial data belongs to you. This policy outlines our commitment to privacy and how data is processed on-device.
1. Our On-Device Architecture
Salary Sasa is a "client-side" utility. All financial calculations, business logs, and document generations happen entirely on your device using your browser's local processing power.
- We do not store your gross salary, net pay, or tax details on our servers.
- Invoices and payslips are generated in real-time and are never uploaded to a cloud database.
2. Data Persistence (LocalStorage)
To provide a seamless experience and manage professional suites, we use small data files stored on your device:
Functional Persistence
Business logs and privacy preferences are stored in your browser's LocalStorage. This data persists indefinitely on your device until you manually clear your "Site Data" or "Storage" through browser settings. Clearing "Cache" alone may not remove this data.
Premium Access Logic
When you unlock professional features, we store a timestamp (`salary_sasa_expiry`) locally to verify your 24-hour access window.
3. Sustainability & Access Model
Salary Sasa operates on a community-supported model to remain free from invasive data-mining:
Access Duration:
- Individual Tool Pass (KES 20): Grants professional access to a specific generator or calculator for a 24-hour cycle from the time of activation.
- Global Access Pass (KES 200): Grants access to all professional tools across the platform for a 24-hour cycle.
- Purchase does not constitute permanent access or a subscription.
4. Third-Party Data Flows
Payments (Paystack)
Premium access is handled via Paystack. When making a payment, you are redirected to Paystack's secure environment. Salary Sasa does not collect or store your payment credentials or M-Pesa PINs.
5. Legal Disclaimer
Salary Sasa is an illustrative planning utility. While we base calculations on documented KRA and NSSF guidelines, results do not constitute official tax advice or legal financial auditing. Consult a certified public accountant (CPA) for official business filings.
